This is absolutely true.
I'm more miserable in six figure hell now. Teetering near the edge of escape velocity does not fill me with hope like being in five figure hell did.

Part of it probably has something to do with putting on my outfit to go to work now feels like donning a costume and cosplaying as someone who is engaged in office work. Tiring.
