Just think in percents anon. At 2k you can probably expect about a single GRT per day. Or 365 a year. That's 200 dollars a year at the current value. But that assumes the price never goes up. If it does go up and you're looking at $10 per token I don't think you would scoff at a free $3650 every year.

Never time the market. Buy things you believe in. If you believe GRT has value higher than what it is, then any price movement below that is a bargain. Just keep averaging in as you can afford it. One day if GRT hits $20 you might kick yourself for questioning if you should buy at .62 or .52. just as long as you only guy with money you're ok with losing entirely you can never go wrong.

Find a good indexer with low fees and high query rates, and its worth it.

It costs me in total about 30 GRT to send my 2K to metamask and then $30 in gas fees to delegate on the network, so about 50 GRT in total. I used the site linked in the earlier thread to see my earnings and its just under 2 GRT a day so i would make up the initial cost in about a month (with a good indexer).

There's a 0.05% fee on the total you're delegating as per the contract. But then you also need to pay a gas fee in eth which is fairly expensive. But I guess you can lower the gas and just wait forever.

You can stay delegated as long as you like. The 28 day timer is a cooldown period. If you decide you don't want to be in an index anymore, you'll be withdrawn after 28 days. But during that time you won't get any awards and your funds are locked.

Fuck. Doesn't seem worth it really. This seems like a game only those already successful in crypto are going to be able to play and benefit from in the long run. I don't even have any eth for 'gas' fees and only snagged a meager 400 GRT when it was @ 0.45 (probably could have afforded a bit more but being cautious not to all-in on one project because I'm new and still figuring things out)

newfags like me who have only recently just caught wind of this and don't have a lot of starting capital to work with are already priced out of this shit. Yet again.

Nope. They don't really "have" your tokens. They're in a contract that if terminated just returns the tokens to your wallet. The only risk is that you enter an indexer that gives shit returns. You'll have to withdraw from it, wait 28 days with zero reward, and then apply to a new indexer. Basically make sure you can at least break even before you pull the trigger or the gas and fees will eat your bag. Seems they wanted a system where people are incentivized to not rapidly move your tokens around on a whim.
