Once you delegate, are the tokens gone from your wallet or locked up? Do you get rewards in your wallet or is it added to your stake? Once the 28 days are over does it automatically reup a contract or is it sent to your wallet?

Seems it's taken from your wallet and locked in until you decide you want to remove it. The 28 days doesn't start until you decide to undelegate at which time the tokens are held until they go back to your wallet at the end. Any rewards end up on the total delegate stack so it compounds.
If anyone call tell me how to see what my rewards are I'd appreciate it.

My dearest friend,

'tis with immense pleasure that I inform you that your letter has found safe travel to my destination and landed in my hands. However, this pleasure was fated to remain short lived and bittersweet, for I must also admit to you, regardless of what distress it may cause to you, knowing you went to great trouble to pen it and deliver it to me, that I in fact declined to open it and refused to read the message contained within. Surmising your intentions, there exists no doubt in my heart regarding your sincere worries for my financial well being, but alas your attempts to convince me to modify my investment strategies shall regretfully remain futile, as my stubbornness in this matter has indeed been sealed irrevocably and no other voice shall rock its imperturbable foundations. Allow me then to reiterate my will once more, and do your best to forever remember it for no change will follow: I shan't part ways with my beloved asset for it is my utmost belief that I have invested wisely and foresee infinite potential in its future, and therefore no other possession in this world shall change my decision, not even a mountain of gold! For my possessed asset is indeed fated to be worth more than any other riches in the world. We shan't speak of this no more.

Sincerely yours,
your beloved friend.

You entrust a portion of your own token to an indexer. That indexer serves a curated subgraph (some api of data stored to the blockchain). When people use the service they pay a fee to the curator, for the convenience of creating that index, as well as to the indexer for hosting the index which costs a lot in hardware. This process I suppose requires a large amount of coins and can be done more quickly if you have more coins. When a query happens, the indexer keeps some portion of the fee for the query as well as the fee for the curator. The rest is split up among those delegating as a proportion of how large your stack is compared to the whole.

So say you have an index with a fee cut of 10 percent and a reward cut of 10%. If they get a fee from a query of 100GRT, they'll keep 10 and share 90. If you happen to own 10% of the delegated token total, you'll get 10% of that 90 for 9 tokens. Same for rewards which seems to work like mining. Essentially the blockchain awards an index a certain amount of tokens for their proof of stake. You get a proportionate share of whatever the index decides to share. Just make sure you look at the revenue section. Doesn't matter if an index promises 99% payout if they've never gotten a single GRT as a reward.
