Sup biz, first time no see.
I am very concerned about USD and am seriously considering putting a large portion of my savings into crypto temporarily in order to avoid a potential financial upheaval thanks to inflation.

I want real info, do you think that is a legitimate concern, and if so, what would you recommend?
For the record, I specifically choose crypto because I know gold and silver are fucked, but also because I need to use it online for business reasons.

I understand also that this is not a permanent solution, and will most likely pull my funds the moment things settle back down

Bitcoin is still the market leader. It has the most liquidity and payment solutions. Can't go wrong with that

I have heard concerns that the moment the dollar collapses so will it. That may be a stupid thing, but I would still like to ask about it.
Thank you for responding.

In a currency collapse, there's a lot of variables.

Using Greece, Argentina Venezuela as recent examples, however, we can see that bitcoin avoided much of the capital controls and prevented some uman suffering. Argentina and Venezuela have adopted it deeply because it allowed for trade when the government couldn't keep control on inflation

If you are thinking in terms of doomer like this, you should always keep capital controls in mind. It's what you should learn to accommodate for.

“No I want it to stay the same value instead of grow over time”

Ok, retard. Even gold fluctuates wildly in price. If you want to get into crypto you can pick up, down, or “fiat but with more steps and fees”
