26115533 No.26115533 [Reply] [Original]

how much of a safe bet is this? seeing that ETH is yet to reach ATH and then price discovery.
I've been greedy before and got fucked. I'm finally again in a position where if ETH gets to 3k I'd reach my first 100k.
Big deal for me, so I prefer to reach that first and then come up with my next move, instead of hoping to do a quick 10x with any other shitcoin.

Current folio worth ~44k

tl;dr do i dump RSR, LINK, BTC for ETH?

Biz, pls advice.

ETH is the safest bet right now. Is it going to make you a millionaire? No. Is there a 3-5x this cycle? Yes.

Once BTC/ETH start climbing again be prepared for most alts to correct. These swingies boasting about their paper profits will get stung

not FUD, I know ETH can get a lot higher than 3k.
but I'm not asking what it CAN do, I want to know if it WILL do 3k.
100% guaranteed (of course, "no one knows" but in biztards opinions?)

some people believe eth will outperform btc this cycle, in my opinion eth should get to 2k in a matter of weeks and higher than 3k eoy.
i would dump rsr and hodl the rest

I thought about this too. And been holding RSR since .006 so It's hard to let go.
But I think I'm going to go all in on ETH except for around 300k RSR

>> No.26116336

Why do you believe that? The token supply of ETH is constantly being diluted by inflation. It's not going to follow the same long-term pattern as Bitcoin or Litecoin.

>> No.26116455

>>26115533
3k is a complete lowball. That's only a ~2x from the previous ATH. BTC already 2x'd its ATH, for perspective.

are you retarded or just fudding? BTC and LTC also have a supply that constantly increases

Do you understand what halving events are? Do you understand what limited total supply is? ETH has neither of these things, so why would you expect it to behave the same as coins that do?

100% ETH.

>>26116336
Provably and verifiably wrong. ETH has slightly higher inflation than BTC and will most likely have deflationary characteristics when EIP-1559 is released (which is feature-ready and waiting to be merged).

>> No.26116675

ETH could hit $3k, the problem is AVAX will hit $1k before then. So I guess you buy AVAX.

>> No.26116757

ETH is going to dip by mid Wednesday. Best time to buy will be after that. If you buy now you'll lose in the short term.

Surely AVAX is great but I'm done trying to catch the "next gem".
If I had just gone all in on ETH after getting lucky with STA, I'd have 100 ETH right now.

>ETH has slightly higher inflation than BTC
Relative to its marketcap, its inflation is 6x that of BTC. About the same as the USD.

Ok let's get autistic. As of writing this, Ethereum has $12,784,678 daily inflation, while Bitcoin has $22,205,700. However, Bitcoin's marketcap is 4.7x larger than Ethereum's. If Ethereum has the same MC as Bitcoin, it would have $60,445,740 daily inflation. So 3x, not 6x, my mistake. Nonetheless, my point still stands. Ethereum's inflation rate actually increases with price, while Bitcoin's decreases over time due to halving events.

trip dubs, nice. so, lowcaps are starting to pump. if you pick the right one(s) in the next weekish timeframe you may be able to 5x your eth stack, then hold eth. eth will go 3k, probably even 5k before the final bubble imo. eth is def a "safe" hodl, and will almost certainly get you to 3k/eth (the only q is what shitcoin pump opportunity costs are you forgoing to play it safe) - your risk, your return.
>>26115606
almost def a pushup (which suits her perfectly)
>>26115666
based trips. min 5x this run imo. up to 15x probably from here. yes, low caps will probably start pumping next week. take your profits and get back into btc eth by feb (which may be too late, so try sooner).
>>26116336
not sure if fud or mong - but 1559 is coming - probably by eoy, at that point eth supply stops increasing, long term deflationary.
>>26116560
see above. btc is digital gold, eth is digital finance settlement layer. supply will be decreasing, network will become more secure by value of eth increasing. sell some of your btc and get yourself a node or get btfo (unless you're massive oldfag with hundreds of btc, then congrats, you're done)

>> No.26117605

>>26117312
you're ignoring that Ethereum is going to be implementing EIP1559 this year which will essentially make ETH deflationary. if bitcoin hits $100,000 this cycle, and ETH stays at .03 of a BTC, that means $3,000 per ETH. however, ETH vs. BTC is gradually rising. if it gets back to .05 of a BTC or .10 of a BTC where it was in 2017, that means potentially $5,000 or $10,000 per ETH. I don't see how this isn't possible unless all of crypto crashes again, considering everything interesting in crypto is literally happening on ETH

1559 means that transaction fees pretty much get burned. So more transactions would mean more burned/lost ETH. There still will be new ETH through mining/staking but long term, with increasing transaction fees, at the end of the day more ETH get burned than created, and thus ETH will be deflationary.
When exactly this point will be reached is uncertain but also irrelevant to deflect the fud that BTC has ‚limited supply‘ and is thus inherently more worth.
