Assuming you were trading a lot, how the fuck did you deal with the capital gains tax?

I wanna swing so bad but I’m sceerrrd of taxes. In the beginning I had no idea converting coins was taxable. Fuck man..I just want my money

same
I was stoked about flipping and converting coins to make gains at first, but not after learning about that
do they tax you for the conversions even if you don't cash out?
I admit, I'm a bit nervous

I'm just imagining the tax accountant looking through page upon page of hundreds of minor transactions, some gains and some losses
do they really mean to tax every single fucking transaction? I haven't even cashed out to my bank
fuck that

Maybe he hasn't cashed out yet, I believe capital gains only applies once you cash out, although I've not yet paid any taxes so I don't know much about it. I think he'll lose like 30% of that when he does though.

pfft,

it's not really about the coins, but I've been puting 15% into each btc, eth, xrp, ltc, then the rest into link and I started adding a small position of like 5% xtz.

i'm just pointing out that once you get some experience you figure out what investing strategy works for your life. btc was under 4k less than a year ago so DCA made the most sense. there was fear and depression that it would keep crashing but also insane potential upside, so putting in a spare couple hundred per week made sense.
risk is higher now that we are back in a hype cycle but the whole strategy of dca is you continuously buy and use your long time frame to your advantage. if you are in for the long haul, then you just follow the average market price.
