Do you realize just how much is going to be dumped on the market? Its going to cause a catastrophic cascading collapse that can't be stopped. Its going to be so devastation it might actually be the real death of bitcoin with the rest of crypto right along with it.

This means mt gox has to pay the creditors for the owed loans. I really don't think creditors are going to accept BTC. There won't be a drop.

>>26086128
It's foolish to think this way, cryptos are the future and everyone invested in it that understand crypto knows this.
There will be no death to all crypto, ever.

I've been wanting to get into Bitcoin cheap, it's the easiest hold there is, no need for the every day stress and mood swings of dealing with the latest trends in alts.
Holy shit the mood swings, it's not fucking healthy.

you can't be serious right now lmao

200K BTC released on the market, assuming even all of them market sell, price goes down greatly, buyers grab BTC at a 50%+ discount until selling pressure is over. At which point the price goes back up, because there isn't anyone left stupid enough to sell it at that price.

This. BTC maxis don't die out because it is such a comfy hold. If it dumps holders want more of it everytime which establishes a higher floor every time. Cheap btc is only gonna get rarer and rarer people.

just imagine being one of these mt gox creditors
having hundreds of BTC trapped in limbo for 7 fucking years

You realize the settlements are in cash or bitcoin right retard?

>> No.26088371

>>26088126
Actually this all depends on exactly how this is working. I thought mtgox lost all their BTC. Are they actually returning BTC proportionately to their customers from 2014? Or are they compensating customers IN CASH for the value of bitcoin at the time of the hack?

Let's say I used mtgox and I had 1 btc when it got hacked and rugpulled in early 2014. At the time, 1btc = $1000. Are they compensating me as:
a) directly giving me 1btc?
b) giving me the equivalent value of 1btc at the time, so 1000 dollars?
c) giving me the equivalent value of 1btc at the current time?

Only the first option has the potential to dump the market. And even then, I believe they're dishing out the compensation in small increments.
