Is now even a good time to get into crypto? In the bull run? Should I wait for it to be over and invest my idk 500-1000$ (student with no job jfl) the bull market is over? How long do bull markets take? So many questions...

So it wouldn't be smart to decide on one day to put 40% in btc 30% in eth 20% Monero and maybe the rest in something else?
So I should always look out for good opportunities and buy when I see one? Would that be an overall good starting point or should I include more smaller coins with more potential?

What I did was, one day, just decided to withdraw 100$ from my account and used it on electronic coins without caring what the current price was (only do this if you have money that you can throw around and won't do you much harm if lost), I bought ETH, BTC from previous research done through here and other sites and started to watch the portfolio hourly. After finding a pattern, stick with it and play with it accordingly.
