Why are they so special? Cant other cryptos be used to settle cross borders transactions just as easily? I realize this is a dumb question, I am barely literate with cryptos. Retarded bobos need not respond

>> No.25976962

I assume it's because they have built a infrastructure at a larger scale than other cryptos.

of banks working with them that is

>> No.25977013

XLM at least is setup to allow cheap transfers of monies across borders. compare to ETH where gas fees fuck your asshole

Yeah and of course as the other anon said. They have very fast settle times and low transactions cost and they scale well

Current gas fees are like ninety fucking gwei; pretty reasonable if you ask me.

gas fees being transaction costs?

>> No.25977362

>>25977075
Yeah combine that with a fast transaction time and cheap fees. That's the thesis on why XRP/XLM has a value atleast. Now will banks use their tokens? who the fuck knows.

Thank you friend. I panicked when I heard about the SEC lawsuit and I transferred like 350 XRP into half ETH half BTC went well up a lot for me. which is peanuts but still.

its the standard. Once alt season really kicks off we gonna see a spike in price, since btc and eth become unusable people will use xrp to transfer between exchanges to gamble on shitcoins, timing and speed becomes really important in a full blown bullrun

The SEC case is pretty much a coinflip. Ripple has to come out of it with XRP being a security. Then it will pump. I never invested in XRP but bought some now because i actually believe they are gonna survive this lawsuit. Might take some time though

im kinda hoping the "orange pill" super moon 1 satoshi will be worth one dollar hype is real. only way my little sacks are gonna make me rich. just started a new business, so not a lot to go around for extra investing

Based. Unironically the best way to build wealth is through a skill. If you don't have alot of money the chances of becoming wealthy of investing is really small.

you mean not being a security, which is what everyone but the sec agrees on

lol I just like to watch Maxx Kaiser and his roasted wife feed me stories about being a god of the new BTCworld order. Hopefully in the next 5 years though I will have cash to throw into the crypto/stonk world, it is fun though even with a few hundred bucks

yes other cryptocurrencies can settle cross border transactions as well, although they are slower
XLM and XRP sacrifice decentralization for TPS, which means transactions are faster and cheaper, but rely on a small set of trusted nodes to approve everything
