What are some basic things an 18 years old should learn to get his shit together?

I'm about to get kicked out of the house and I'm realizing I'm a retard as far as business and finance goes. I don't know anything about taxes, money, loans, credit, law, funds etc...

Is there a book that will teach me every fundamental I need to know to survive in this modern capitalist society so I don't make errors and get eaten by loan sharks and shit?

The fact that you are considering this stuff at 18 is really good anon. Read up on finance related materials, youtube the same...there are some good resources listed on the smg thread. The biggest mistake I made in my 20s was falling for the consumer meme, don't be afraid yourself to treat yourself every now and again but insofar as possible, keep sending your income to investments and not buying useless crap

i have not read them, other than the one i recommended (which i skimmed through), so i can not say much about them

the richest man in babylon is for general attitude to money, so is rich dad poor dad with added way of thinking about real estate
the little book that beats the market is for a specific investment strategy (tl;dr buy good companies that are currently undervalued based on a formula)
