What are some basic things an 18 years old should learn to get his shit together?

I'm about to get kicked out of the house and I'm realizing I'm a retard as far as business and finance goes. I don't know anything about taxes, money, loans, credit, law, funds etc...

Is there a book that will teach me every fundamental I need to know to survive in this modern capitalist society so I don't make errors and get eaten by loan sharks and shit?

pic unrelated.

I'm not sure I want to invest in crypto right now. It would be dangerous for a retard like me to try and get into that kind of thing.

>>25972720
Thanks for the book recs anon, very good post. I will surely check them out.

I've noticed there are other books in the "little book" serie. Should I check them out too? What are some you would recommend? Which one is worth reading?

Thanks again btw

Time and health are your most precious possessions. You are alone. No-one cares. Money is time. Reproduction is the goal of life.

just buy the dip its not hard. Thats literally all the market is, jews and retards pumping and dumping. To win you have to buy the dip, and sell the top. With crypto you buy the dip and hold, as it will always steadily rise.

The fact that you are considering this stuff at 18 is really good anon. Read up on finance related materials, youtube the same...there are some good resources listed on the smg thread. The biggest mistake I made in my 20s was falling for the consumer meme, don't be afraid yourself to treat yourself every now and again but insofar as possible, keep sending your income to investments and not buying useless crap

honestly anon dont get into drugs, alcohol or a bad relationship. All of these things will make you feel good but remember all them will drain you mentally, physically, and financially

i have not read them, other than the one i recommended (which i skimmed through), so i can not say much about them

the richest man in babylon is for general attitude to money, so is rich dad poor dad with added way of thinking about real estate
the little book that beats the market is for a specific investment strategy (tl;dr buy good companies that are currently undervalued based on a formula)

i suggest you read them completely

Many books on that list are pure nonsense.
Not that there is nothing good there. A few of them are on pic related, a good list too.
