quick AVAX rundown

Emin Gün Sirer:
>Cornell CS Prof has been in crypto since BEFORE BTC
>is the Number 2 in Cornells IC3 (Ari Juels is number 1)
>h-index of 46 (Juels h index is 83), nobody in crypto comes close to these 2 gigabrains (Vitalik has h index of 27 FYI)
>EGS recognized the importance of Chainlink from early on and is in close contact with the Flannel Man
>Vitalik endorses EGS and is already looking at "Athereum", a Subnet on Avalanche to solve what he cant do with ETH 2.0 https://athereum.avax.network/

Avalanche protocol:
>The third consensus protocol after Nakamotos Proof of Work and Classical Protocols
>This is not repackaged shit with minimal tinkering here and there, its a completely new family of Consensus Protocol
>4500+ REAL TPS (no bullshit account tricks, batching, or L2), sub 3 seconds finality
>already more decentralized than everything else in crypto running a Node is really easy and hardware requirements are low, anyone can do it
>basically consensus is reached by probabilistic sampling thousands of independent nodes over multiple rounds
>Resist 51% attack (need 80% network control to take over)

Full EVM support:
>Low friction of adoption for projects developing on ETH
>All Ethereum smart contract and infrastructure can work on AVAX out of the box which means all the slow DeFi running on ETH right now will switch to AVAX to speed it all up
>AVAX nodes will Validate ATH (Athereum) which makes running a node very profitable

Subnetworks:
>This is Avalanches bread and butter. Independent networks can be launched on Avalanche, with near infinite customization. Athereum is a good example of this.
>Big picture: Within one year, the best parts of the entire cryptocurrency ecosystem can be mirrored on Avalanche. Giving it all the TPS, scalability, and speed, and also interoperability with the entire ecosystem.

Anything on ETH can be ported over out of the box and once they see the gas is nothing they are likely to switch

Someone from the ETH genesis block (likely Vitalik) bought $2.5m worth of AVAX in the IPO

I made some VERY stupid trades, especially at the start. I bought XRP at 0.60 TWICE. Locked in my $800 losses & moved my XRP into GRT right after it mooned, like an idiot. Took a few hundred dollar loss on that as well. Loss ~$175 on REEF when I joined that discord PND scam group. Also put ~100 into ERSDL & $600 into WOZX at >$3.

I guess when I look at all the losses I've taken I should be happy I'm in the green at all lmao. Important lessons to learn I guess albeit expensive ones.

That's enough money to just put in BTC/ETH/LTC and wait. You'll have a 6 figure portfolio within a few years. If you start fucking with low MC pajeet coins and stuff /biz/ shills, you'll probably lose it all.

LOL you can make that same amount of profit in literally minutes trading options in the stock market. I've made 5 grand just this morning buying and selling call options on BBBY. Buy some Twitter puts too cause that shit is going down. TSM calls if you want to as well.

If you're gonna gamble, you might as well make it worth your while.

all you had to do was buy Bitcoin, you're over thinking it. My advice is put the majority of it in BTC/ETH, Put a couple of grand into strong Defi projects like Aave and SNX and then gamble a couple of hundred on low cap shitcoins.

Yeah it was retarded. I feel like I'm doing a bit better now though, got into PRQ at 0.60, 0.46 & 0.47. Also got a BAO sui stack. I'm actually confident in PRQ and BAO seems slightly less rugpull-esque than the other low mcap coins I see shilled here. besides that & my ERSDL & WOZX bags I've got BTC & ETH.

Your problem is that you buy coins that are being actively shilled to you on /biz/ instead of doing your own research. A coin is shilled on biz when people already accumulated their bags. Then you buy, and then they dump on you. Look for coins that are under the radar. When a coin is shilled to you and it is on the ATH DO NOT BUY IT. the time to buy it for significant gains was 6 months ago. Leave this imageboard and DYOR more thoroughly.

I'm almost mad at myself for not selling XRP. I bought in at .20 and watching that shit run to .70 was amazing. I should have sold before I went to bed on the night on the SEC announcment - it was at .55

If I had done that would be up 300% instead of 50%, e.g., I spent 24k and its worth 36k as of this morning.

I'm hoping to not make the same mistake again if the Tether announcement really does put an end to this run. Anyone got any advice on how/what to do?

I'm pretty diversified on ETH/XRP/XLM/ALGO/GRT/LTC/XTZ, no linkies because I was swinging from $10 to $12 and made like 3k but I missed takeoff.

Find a forex broker that also allows crypto trading and trade with leverage.

Okay, friendly advice for newfags. Forget ghost chains (no traffic or fake traffic) and forget centralized chains (usually ghost chains). The largest part of development activity happens on ETH. That won't change anytime soon and is also what matters most. The only relevant "competitor" to ETH is DOT and does not necessarily have to be regarded a competitor. Invest most of your money in BTC, ETH, DOT, LINK. Invest less money in promising projects (such as SNX and many others). If you want to research, then focus on development activity, quality of development and actual usage (differentiate between fake traffic and real traffic).
Print this and read it out loud every day.
That's all you need. Thank me later.

I'm in the same position as OP, seems like trading with leverage or options is the way to go, but I'm too much of a brainlet.
If you fuck up a trade, do you end up owning money to the exchage? what if you can't pay it back?

I just need a 5x to move from my shitty country for at least a year.
