Just destroy the evidence. Bitfinex is holding extreme amounts of BTC. Nomore Tether / USDT needed at this point.

This is the level of schizo/retard you need to be to believe in tether fud:

>You think a billion dollar company (including the million dollar law-firms), 'burn-evidence' 24h before a deadline. Like some fucking 12 year old kid fucking with his homework. Even though this deadline has been known for YEARS.

Internalize that before you let these fucking jews buy your coins for cheap.

>> No.25959602

Kek, USDT isn’t evidence you retard, this is probably because people have been redeeming dollars with their tether and tether have no use for these tokens themselves

Still, the burning is real. Just 24h before they have to hand over evidence.
Nothing suspicious here at all.

They desperately want to show that they actually have enough assets to back up the number of Tether in circulation.
Since nobody is buying any more, they are burning the ones they have.

If Tether was really backed up by real assets, why would they be burning it in the first place?
I'll give you a clue: they have been printing more than what they have in assets.

I'm not into crypto, but this sounds interesting, can someone explain how the system works? I've thought that you just exchange btc for usd and vice versa. Why is tether even necessary?

>> No.25962351

>>25962297
Where can you transfer USD for btc? Only exchanges and they're throttled by regulations.

Tether acts as a fiat on ramp. Send dollars to some random company, they mint USDT, USDT transferred to exchanges or dexes to purchase crypto. This is far preferable for large orders.

Only problem is the tethers are worthless. Well, they're worth 98c, but they're worthless.
