Tip for the guys working in software dev: If you're making decisions, pushing stuff to master without the need of review by another person, knows most projects from head to toe, knows more about the business than your leader and you're still a "junior", guess what you're not a junior anymore and should look for some other place to work because at this point the company is squeezing as much as they can from you for "a discount" until you burn out and toss you on the street. No, there won't be a big leap in your salary, no they won't give a team to manage, and if they do, they won't compensate you properly, you won't get bonuses for a job well done, your managers will.
Fuck this fucking gay industry and everyone involved in it, including me for being stupid enough to not hear the warnings from jaded /g/entoomen.

Maybe, maybe not. I’m in a program right now that guarantees certain promotions as long as you don’t fuck up. My first bump up is this month. In the past it’s been decently big for most people but it’s not entirely clear how big it will be this year. At least 5%.
