Does anyone have any insight on how to know when which altcoin is going to rally, when BTC pumps?

I'm usually calling BTC moves correctly short term, but there's a lot of times I rather jump into altcoims before BTC pumps and what happens is that altcoin gets weaker against BTC and drops instead of pumping with relation to BTC. Of course after couple of hours that same altcoin goes up, unless BTC goes down meantime.

Can anyone explain what to do here, sometimes altcoins pump with BTC and that's when you miss a lot of gains. I think if I want to minimize downturn, I should just put position in BTC before BTC pumps and then close profit, while re-opening positiin on altcoin, after it crashes against BTC pump.

Anyone has any smarter strat?

Altcoins are heavily correlated with Bitcoin and mostly move in the same direction.

I know that, I'm saying there's a few hours delay with altcoins correcting after BTC pumps hard usually, since they lose value vs satoshis (BTC going up).

I over leverage on altcoin when I know BTC is going to pump, hoping for altcoins to go on small rally also, but then they drop for couple of hours, while BTC moves higher and then they correct and shoot up again.

I want to avoid that.
