So as of today my 25k investment 3-4 years ago is now worth 200k in bitcoin.

I'm considering taking it all out and putting them into safe investment funds since I'm starting to enter my 30s. I'll want to buy a house soon, especially after I get married.

However, the gains I made are just insane. Why would I take it out and let it grow slowly when I can see more exponential gains years from now?

Is getting older making me more of a pussy?

Marriage means 50% risk of losing half of your money in a divorce.
This is a much riskier proposition than a long term bitcoin hold

Take some out, leave some in just in case, that's the safest way. Otherwise you are gambling, try to imagine if BTC does crash in the coming weeks and having to be a bagholder for years and ask if yourself if you would really be OK with that. It's not a matter of being a pussy, just what you are willing to risk

My plan was a 2 cycle plan. Last time I sold near what I thought was the top and diversified into safe shit. Accumulated like mad during the bear market and this time I'm not selling anything. I'm here forever now.

It is making you dumber. btc is the "safe investment" fund you are talking about, you just don't understand the current state of the world

Thanks anon - that helped me gain a bit of clarity. Man getting older sucks, I start to think about a house, possible hospital bills, payments and etc.

Either play it safe and ride it out like everyone else or continue rolling the dice, hoping to live comfortably while keeping everyone around me happy and healthy.

Pretend you put it into an index fund like a normie with a 25k initial. Now what would it be worth in that same amount of time?

Take that number out and leave the rest in BTC.

What's with getting married? Why not just live in the same place and fuck till you have kids, why do you need the government to tell you that you now have a family, they can't even hold a fucking election.

Take your total net worth- if it was all currently 100% cash, how much would you allocate to bitcoin? Leave that much in and sell the remainder. There's a bias where you give something more value because you already own it and want to maintain the status quo of your investments, the goal is to mitigate that bias.

Don't cash all out if you do, this run is nowhere near done.

In 10 years time, you'll regret more the risks you didn't take than the ones you did. Buying a house is hard as it is and only going to get worse with inflation - you need high payoff investments now while you can afford it.

Does crypto count as a pre-marital asset if you own it before the marriage?
Also do the gains you incur after getting married count as joint-income or can I just divorce a bitch and keep my crypto?
