Similar to BTC in 2017. Several newcomers, myself included, considered the potential ROI on BTC to be too low to jump into at that point compared to alts. Mind you, that was at the top of that cycle, so not completely wrong AT THE TIME. Seeing as how AAVE and SNX have ripped face already this cycle, is it even worth jumping on the bandwagon here or is it better to try and use alts as leverage to get more BTC, ETH, AAVE, SNX?

There is probably more money to be made elsewhere but the same could be said about BTC/ETH, does that make them bad plays? While AAVE/SNX aren’t as safe as BTC/ETH they’re about as safe as nearly any other alt besides those and are almost guaranteed to pump this cycle, likely outpacing BTC/ETH. Keep in mind, before XRP went on its major tear in 2017 it was still like a top 10 project in market cap I believe. AAVE and SNX will be some of the best high/mid cap performers over this entire bull run, in my opinion

Tether already announced using L2, Aave & Uniswap are next and as soon as these are there its fixed. From established protocols point of view moving to L2 is less costly and less risky than moving to a completely different chain. Other chains like Cardano or Elrond can still grow if new devs decide to build something on that, but for defi these will always need a bridge to tap into established ethereum defi. Replacing eth is never gonna happen because they were slower than L2 solutions
