I'm relatively new to the bitcoin business, so excuse me if I'm asking stupid questions here.

That being said, what the FUCK is going on with mtgox? Why is it on $335/BTC while bitstamp is on $645/BTC? I get that bitcoin prices fluctuate between exchanges, but a $300 difference is absurd.

Also, I've been trying to buy from mtgox for over a day now (through happycoins.com) and it keeps telling me that demand is exceeding resources, why doesn't the price go up then?

Does this have something to do with that silkroad hack?

I think MtGox froze everythinge while they try to get their shit together.

Bitcoin has a massive security flaw that allows transactions to be intercepted, duped and scammed. People are pulling all their money out while hackers run rampant stealing the bitcoins. Whole market is collapsing.

It's the facts from the article, confirmed by MtGox and by the bitcoin developer himself. Read the article.

>> No.26020

>>25995

From what I read in the article, the developers only seem to be mildly worried about the flaw, a kind of "Yea, it's a problem, but we'll fix it, no worries" attitude.

>> No.26026

>>25960
The flaw is not with the bitcoin protocol, the flaw is with the method of checking transactions used by the bitcoin client software that is used commonly by exchanges.

so buy now while the FUD is flying

It's not about it fucking your GPU. It's about the fact that if your GPU isn't up to snuff you will be paying more for the electricity to operate it than you will be reaping in bitcoin profit.

dedicated hardware is so much faster than GPU or CPU mining that it just plain isn't worth your time. I'd be surprised if you were able to make a dollar a month with a 760 running full-time. You missed the gravy train, deal with it.
