Well Justin Sun is developing into a woman to be fair.

Polkadot uses Substrate. Still learning about that. But Polkadot has limited slots, so only major projects can expect to be launched on it. Kusama is the Polkadot testnet though, you can play around with it on that.

Ethereum uses Solidity. Its pretty easy to grasp, kinda similar to javascript but can allow messy, buggy code. Anyone can use it.

Cardano uses Haskel. Much more complex, functional programming but is less error prone.

Thats all I know. I'm sure there are other people with more well formulated answers. Tron is awful.
