What is Barnbridge?

Barnbridge are developing complex structured derivatives on blockchain. This is a massive space in TradFi, worth trillions across collateralised debt oblgiations, asset backed securities as well as structured products on indices and equities.

Examples in DeFi include

-Classic stablecoin interest tranches. Imagine tranching aave interest into a senior tranche, earning a guaranteed lower percentage and a junior tranche earning a higher on average but volatile interest rate from aave deposits
-Eth staking pays 10%. Imagine breaking this down into a senior tranche which only earns 5%, but has less exposure to ethereum if it drops more than 25%, and a Junior tranche that earns 15% but assumes more downside if ethereum drops a lot
-A uniswap or sushiswap yield farming pair, where a senior tranche earns less interest but has no impermanent loss risk, and a junior tranche that earns more interest but is more exposed to impermanent loss

There are many more possibilities and the possibility of marketing products to TradFi is enormous. Again, multi trillion dollar industry IRL.

Coinbase Custody listing Barnbridge and not Bonded Finance should tell smart money all it needs to know... Coinbase Custody indicated serious institutional interest and a path to full Coinbase listing.

nice, looks like it’s pumped a lot on the Coinbase news. Would you hold off here or does it still have room to move

Also, what’s a suicide and make it stack

>> No.25889194

I'm holding a large bag, I generally don't try and time these things. If you do want to try and time it, Monday is usually a good time to buy as thats when tokens get released. There's a lot of stuff set to release over this and next month including their first product so I wouldn't hold off too long. (pic related)

Make sure you stake if you do buy, Link in OP.

Thinking of buying 500 of these and pooling with USDC. If there’s really 200% APY I’m making about 40 BOND a week or $1k? Seems too good to be true, what’s the catch?

>> No.25889825

Literally just means Barnbridge paid Coinbase for the service, not like it's an exclusive thing. XYO is also on Coinbase Custody, are you telling me that there's institutional interest in that two and a half year old dead shitcoin?

I'm still down 80% on this shit

>> No.25889870

>>25889796
Yes, 500 BOND a week + USDC would be about 1k a week/40 bond.

The risk with all these types of yield farming pools is that the token dumps as farmers sell their rewards and you get rekt by impermanent loss. BOND has been holding its value well though, and its a good project with a low market cap and upcoming so I expect this to continue. Most farmers are accumulating and re-staking rewards including myself.

XYO was added in early 2019. I'm guessing it wasn't dead back then.

>Literally just means Barnbridge paid Coinbase for the service

I highly doubt that. Coinbase Custody is a service for institutional investors. Why would Barnbridge pay for that, it's not like paying for a binance listing where you get retail FOMO buyers in return for the listing fee. No point in an institutional coinbase custody listing if there aren't institutions to take advantage of it.

Just look at the latest projects that are being added to coinbase custody. INJ, GRT, AAVE. All quality, curated projects.

>>25889826
Did you buy on the listing and not stake or something?

XYO wasn't dead, but all of those institutional investors should have surely propelled it to new highs right?

institutions don't have a 100% success rate. occasionally a project they invest in will fail. the same is true of VCs investing in traditional companies. you just looked through coinbase custody and cherry picked the worst thing you could find. anyone can take a look at the most recent coinbase custody listings and see that they're of a high standard.
