I just realized that if I started slacking off at work right now and just did nothing, it would take at least a month or 2 before they fired me, then I could get unemployment for 6 months, and by the time it ran out, my whole crypto stack will have mooned and I could just retire. My boss literally has no control over me. I could call him a bitch faggot and spit on him and it would be a win win for me. Is it dangerous to have this much power?

What country do you live in? If you're a burger and you quit without any "gross misconduct" then you're entitled to continue paying for 18 months of your current employer's plan through COBRA, which keeps you covered starting the day you lose your employee health insurance.

Just do the bare minimum required to stay employed and keep collecting a paycheck. Going unemployed right now without 100% certainty that you will be fine financially is really stupid.

So I need expensive appointments due to past stuff, roughly every 3-6 months. I think i'm going to wait until after my next appointment + when they make me start going to the office again. When I have my last day, after that I have an 18 month window? Is that what you're telling me?

do some research on COBRA, it's basically a surefire way to make sure you're covered by your employer's healthcare plan in between jobs. Look at reasons your employer can deny you COBRA (that includes "gross misconduct") and be sure to avoid them. COBRA coverage can also terminate at any point if
>your previous employer decides to no longer provide an employee health plan
>your previous employer goes bankrupt
Unlikely scenarios but you should to be informed regardless

I'm not quitting. I'm just saying if I decided to just stop giving a fuck and do the bare minimum, it would be a win win because in the unlikely event that they fired me, I would still be okay. I literally don't have to do anything my boss tells me.

Don't burn bridges. If you are confident you don't need the job, just leave on good terms. You'd be destroying a connection you could exploit in the future, even if it's simply needing a good reference. You don't know where you'll be in the future, even if you're 99% sure crypto will pan out well for you.

this euphoria is probably dangerous. I have a £3500 stack that I’m pretty hopeful about but for some reason while everything was mooning I got cocky and IRL trolled a manager at work (disobeyed her, told her I have no idea who she is, said ‘ok congratulations’ when she said she’s a manager of the store, told her a made up name when she logged the ‘incident’). nothing actually came of it but I realise now I was partly fuelled by believing I’m gonna make it.

You want to set up a safety net with a few years' worth of living expenses in some other asset class that's liquid and low risk and hold on to that in addition to your trading port. Have your trading port be 2x the size it would need to be for the expected average income to meet your living expenses. Then you can retire and feel comfy. Also make it a high priority to set up another income stream that's also big enough to live on by itself. Then you can feel maximum comf.

You'll be begging him for your job back when you don't sell the top, and you're left with lower than your initial investment.
