What is the catch with yield farming and can you yield farm with stablecoins?

I keep hearing about people earning 10% a year with stable coins and yield farming.

For example, here is a strategy I read somewhere:
Take a margin loan on M1 at 2.5% and move funds into blockfi and earn 8.6%.

Those percentage gains seem great, but how does this work exactly and what are the risks?

if you can get paid to loan out BTC at zero risk, as it seems you can on crypto dot com... what's the catch? there has to be a catch?
