I think that people are underestimating the likelihood of chimpouts; normally the powers that be just sweep everything under the rug and gaslight everyone into submission until the matter gets memory-holed. However, that strategy is predicated on apathy that is only achieved by people offloading their sense of responsibility onto elected officials. MSM iirc had it that 2/3 of republicans and 1/3 of democrats thought fraud could have occurred, and if the ability to elect someone you can put your faith in to act is compromised, then the consent to be governed really has evaporated and the people will start acting of their own accord.

On the other hand, nothing good ever happens and the future of humanity will just be a boot stamping on a face forever unless we shift timelines. So idk. Timeline shift is likelier than ever before, but who knows how likely that ultimately is.

Judging from the past, if conflict doesn't reach denoument now, you'll see a real Hitler pop up in the next 5 years or so, that I'm pretty confident in. Although 5 years after that, who knows the outcome.
