Am I missing something here?

it's a good idea if your portfolio is <$10k

you just pay a bit extra for fees, otherwise nice platform

Nah I do the same. I’m too lazy to be a uniswap gas faggot. I’ve never had any problems with Coinbase. They’ve unfucked every potential problem before I went to customer service.

I do the same but coinbase has been shitty recently

>> No.25875756

I do but I just fomo’d in on the 2nd, it was pretty shitty when coinbase shit the bed when btc dropped to 30k and was instantly gobbled up

It's a bad idea to keep your BTC or ETH in a wallet if you plan to sell it at the top of a bubble.
You may have to wait a few days until your BTC transaction is validated when that happens due to the network congestion and miss out...

>> No.25876229

I usually keep all my ETH on metamask but in periods like this where you need your finger on the trigger I move it to coinbase pro
gonna move it back once the craze calms down and I can go back to gambling my net worth on uniswap shitcoins without retarded gas fees

I'm interested in investing in crypto. I want to start out small with a couple of hundreds of euros in BTC and ETH, learn how the market works and experiment in trading a bit in other altcoins. When BTC/ETH takes another dump later this year I want to invest more.

Is Coinbase a good place to start? Can't imagine having more than a couple of thousands on there the next two or three years.

AH yes. Keeping all your money on a kyc platform that tracks every trade and reports it to the IRS.

KEK, you cannot be THIS new, it literally happened yesterday

Coinbase has gone down at least 5x this year, sometimes for hours at a time. Lol keep thinking you'll be able to catch the moon and sell

It goes down really often, but other than that I would argue that keeping your crypto on an exchange like coinbase is safer than taking personal custody. I've heard too many fucking horror stories of people losing everything because of a hack or losing their hard wallet or forgetting their keys.

They list some of the best coins however you're restricted to only the popular ones so they already mooned 100-1000x.

Coinbase has been down for maintenance during every pump, dump, or otherwise opportune time to use it.
The good news is you will never make it so in ten years time when you open your peasant mouth to talk about cryoto stocks I can piss directly into it from my 40th floor balcony in the levitating crypto city that sits above the ruins of Old New York.
