My GF who i dont discuss btc with told me shes selling all her leftover btc from years ago now because there is so much negative news about BTC.
Obviously made no attempt to stop her.
Why do normies have such glass hands. I have a mid 6 figure stack and i feel nothing even on the bigger 80% corrections anymore

The average /biz/raeli couldn't give less of a shit about a couple grand profit/loss because we want enough to retire and anything short of that is literally worthless.
Meanwhile your normie gf is probably thinking about upgrading her 6 month old iPhone

It feels almost like a weird surreal dream how tether fud has come back in the exact form it was presented in 2017 for some reason. For years either nobody talked about it or when it was brought up it wasnt like this. Now suddenly the same style of FUD is back with the same strange infographic style as before.

Except Tether fud is all true. Just because a scam hasn't fallen apart yet doesn't mean it isn't a scam. People saying "they were 74% backed when they had $2b in assets, of course they're still 74% backed now they have $25b in assets" are incredibly stupid.

I know it might have been the wrong move long term but I sold before it fell to below my break even point.
Ultimately I realized there is not anything genuinely guaranteeing any sort of value to BTC. I would be surprised if it went to zero, but I can't rule out a combination of regulatory changes, whale sell-offs in response to national currencies stabilizing and cash being attractive again, and attrition from many smaller scale holders losing faith in it and trying to run to the exit before everyone else does.
More likely than not I think you guys will make lots of money off BTC in the future, but there's more possibility of disaster than I can take on and feel OK about.
