Despite me being pretty far down the right end of the spectrum, I've always supported (non globohomo) UBI. I had some unpleasantness and ended up on welfare for some years, and I owe having income and free time to being in the position I am now. Without the years of not having to wage slave my life would be miserable. I think society would benefit from people being able to do what they love instead of something they hate for peanuts. It's important people have the freedom to discover what they're passionate about. Although I also realize not everyone would do the same as me and it would create lazy, dependent leeches. Don't support it as the intended control mechanism though.
