I started skipping classes and just doing the bare minimum to get through since 7th grade I think. Then at 9th grade I wanted a PC so I had a deal with my mother that if I get all 5s(except for 2 subjects), then I'll get the PC. Then I just learned how to learn faster and got the 5s(3-5 are our grades, 2 is failure and 1 is just nothing basically). Everyone was so amazed at school like I was a wizard even though I just skipped the classes to calmly learn by myself since all the teacher ever did was read the same damn book. Thanks to that class skipping I saved time and energy and now got $280k in LINK.

It is true that trait conscientiousness is more predictive of success than intelligence

This is where the "I'm smart but lazy" trope comes from
You can have the biggest brain in the world but it won't do you any good if you don't want to get out of bed

Indeed, general intelligence as measured by IQ can be thought of as the speed at which you can learn things
High IQ take to things faster than low IQ people
And naturally if you have an IQ of 85 or below there will be some things you can't learn due to the time and concentration required
BUT for most people if you are focused and dedicated enough on one thing, you can permanently acquire skill and knowledge of that activity better than a higher IQ person with less "grit", and it is stored in the brain as a sort of crystallized intelligence
This is why adults almost always seem smarter than people younger than them even if they are low IQ themselves

Midwittism is a trap which allows both people smarter than you and dumber than you to achieve greater success

I mean look at that one literal retard who learned how to be a good football coach

Talent has to be nurtured to grow. Those gifted elementary schoolers still needed good parents, a good environment and a good upbringing to become something. Somewhat related, pic is growth hormone levels in a child in hospital which changed depending on whether the nice nurse who looked after him properly was around.

High IQ take, always remember "averages" don't take into account your demographic's likelihood to actually try in life or what welfare temptations your demographic is offered like AA, Section 8, and having a husband cover your life's expenses. A chart of just white guys would rate us all much lower.

>gifted in elementary school
Doesn't mean shit in the real world though. I taught myself how to code in my teenage years. I'm by no means a genius, but it was certainly far more useful for me to spend my evenings doing that than wasting countless hours rote learning so some clueless middle aged mitwit teacher can say I'm 'gifted'. Grades should just be optimised for securing your place at university (if that's what you want to do).

Anyone I knew that made it to 6 figures under 30 always had some street smarts and social skills. A lot of people fall for the lone genius trope which is quite stupid. Networking is like an amplifier, trying to do everything on your own is not only autistic but horribly inefficient. Any richfag (1million+) I saw that had a problem always just picked up the phone to sort it out as the first option, not the last.

If you're getting ideas about how to make it from the (((media))) you'll never make it.

I'd venture it's a different road of treatment: ambition has to be nurtured in those with talent. It doesn't matter how good someone is at learning or figuring out systems if they just want to smoke weed and hang out with their friends all day while working an office job. You need to raise your kids to see practical results from their ventures instead of some sort of set wage for chores. Small example but my uncle owned a small cow+turkey farm and my cousin collected the maneur and made his own fertilizer, which he then sold to neighbors all around town. He didn't get paid the same amount no matter how well he did, he got immediate financial results from his increased drive and effort. That's what we need to teach our kids.

Now he's a fighter pilot btw, I wish I was LARPing, fucker is the youngest of all the cousins so we didn't know what we were competing against until it was too late, he makes us look like shit and has a hot blonde texan wife and brand new house at 25. I'm jelly.

Looks like it takes it into account to me. It's saying even after 7 years in the labor force (29), a quarter of the workers are still in the negative due to debts. The mixup probably comes from the 18-24 year group which has two ages keeping the numbers up:

>24 year olds with good jobs
>women/blacks who have demographic scholarships
>18-19 year olds who haven't collected much debt yet

By splitting the first category into 7 years (18-24) instead of 5 years (40-44, 50-54, etc) they're able to mask the biggest chunk of debters which is 21-22.

A shitload of normal people 18-24 are in normal jobs that barely make ends meet spending whatever's remaining on doing whatever the fuck they want. Another large portion of them are incurring debt to go to college (since 18-24 is the normal college age) so while this may pay off in the long run (for those not retarded and actually studying something that will make them actual money), currently they're saddled with debt of up to hundreds of thousands of dollars.
