Would 1 mil in stocks even be enough to retire. You have to cash out some every year to pay bills. Let's say avg return of 5% that's only 50k. And since you're cashing out the stack will never grow meaning in 60 years from now you'll still have only a mil in stocks and 50k due to inflation will be nothing.

Average return can be more than 5%. There's no reason not to be aggressive with it early on, and taking less of the gain as income to compound the remainder, you will survive with $30k for a few years.
Most people draw the principle down as they age. Up to you if that's a problem or not. If you don't want to do it then you need to be frugal in the beginning so it grows.

it depends on the lifestyle you wanna have and the location of course.

1M in a 5% APY fix deposit is a lot of money in my third world shithole. But you have to think 20 30 or 40 years down the line.

Retiring with just 1M is a little risky IMO, but totally depends where you at Panama, is as expensive as USA and even more in some aspects.

But medical emergency could totally wipe you out in Burgerland for example

I calculated 800K€ bare minimum once for retiring at age 35. Withdrawing 3K every month, while investment is growing with 7% YoT with 2% inflation. That'll last me until 60, at which point my company pension should kick in, followed by govt pension at probably ~67.
The problem with retiring early is that the vast amounts of free time will lead to additional spending, i.e. for hobbies and travel, so ideally you're comfortably above that level.

Shit, that's why my plan is to go to Uruguay. They've made a lot of progress in the tech sector and growing domestic businesses after finally coming to the realization that hitching your wagon to Argentina's economy is suicidal. They're also one of the few stable countries in South America and make it easy for foreigners to buy real estate and move their money over to domestic banks. Taking those into consideration, along with a low cost of living, small homogenous population, and being obscure enough where ex pats haven't flooded the area and destroyed the charm like they have with Barcelona, Amsterdam, Medellin, etc. is the reason I've chose that for my exit strategy out of burgerland.

If I had a million right now I could pay off my rentals and have ~50k a year coming in and then put the rest in dividend stocks and yield farm crypto’s for an additional ~30k a year cash flow for a total ~80k a year doing absolutely nothing. I could use that ~80k a year to continue building my wealth. Seems comfy to me

If you were to borrow it would be at 7.9% and you can lend USDC at 8.6%. It may start getting tough paying taxes and bills and the loan however with just your lent usdc. I suppose you could take out a small enough loan for your needs, and if the website went down for whatever reason you probably wouldn't lose your money, but you'd probably lose your house cause you couldn't pay the bills.

of course it is, I could buy like 3 apartments for 150K in total and make like 1000 euros per month in passive, rent income, that's 450 more than I earn now just by working in Western Union, kek

asking my self the same thing. The interest is tempting but they all appeared at the same time with basically the same business model. I feel like 1 will be a rug pull, one will get in legal trouble and one will be so I competent they'll lose your money. I need a few to die off before I can pick one.

In what European country do you think this would be a problem? The average salary in the UK is something like 22K and is more than livable, despite some of the highest taxes and costs of living. If you own your own house you're set on a million provided the fed doesn't shit itself and produce runaway inflation. Even in the case of inflation, your stocks will rise in tandem with it. There's no reason to keep a static million in stocks.
