They think they can buy a whole coin for "just" $1300 with no idea how marketcap works thinking it can go to where btc is. They will pump it hard next due to brand recognition and first mover advantage

ETH could probably go to 40k by 2025. not because of its utility but just based on speculation

>> No.25766428

Normies cant pump anything. They are npcs.
The only ones pumping the coins are institutional sharks and the usual whales. Normies dont answer for more than 1% of any pump or dump.

You're missing my point. (((They))) need liquidity to dump on. Remember all the crypto they buy is with monopoly money tether, it costs them nothing. ETH will pump for them to dump on anyone willing to buy into their pumps

BTC competes with Gold as a store of value Gold has a marketcap of 10 Trillion.

ETH competes with the Derivative market (tokenizing everything). The derivatives market has a marketcap of $1 quadrillion...

Ethereum will inevitably surpass the MC of Bitcoin. A store of value just isn't worth anything close to the global finality layer for all decentralised information.

I started trading this week. Got Eth at 1500. Ive been watching it and it's been quite volatile coming off the surge earlier this week. Theres resistance at 1620, and after it jumped almost 10 percent, I thought it would oversell down that far before going back up. Did the same with XLM selling at 0.4 with buy orders at 0.38. I totally misread the indicators if there were any.

yes, eth went up 60x last bull run btc halves each time it bull runs, x20 last time x40 before that and x80 before that, so I'm guessing eth will, x30

This so fucking much. For some reason normies see infinite potential for ethereum even with the price so high up already.

My friend lost over 2 000 000€ on ETH by buying at ath in January of 2018 and selling in the summer. I'm piss poor and so was he before inheriting the money, neither of us had any business background, but I had been into crypto for a while by then. I told him not to invest since what was happening in the market wasn't sustainable. How correct my guess was makes me smug to this day. Still, something about it is so mesmerizing. The top 2 coins, bitcoin at 40k and ETH barely at 1k, but it's clear as day to anyone actually doing transactions that ETH is the better coin. From a normie's uneducated and base human greedy perspective ETH's price soaring as high as BTC is just inevitable. Only a fool wouldn't jump aboard the rocket ship.

I don't know what to do with this knowledge. Normies will buy no matter what, but should I?

For the derivatives market though won't some of this value be captured by SNX and other tokens running on ETH? Why would the ether token moon if it's moving around other tokens of value. There are some projects that use a lot of eth as collateral like maker, but it seems a bit of a stretch to give ETH that entire market.

Granted just getting a fraction of it is astronomical money.
