I think there are different levels of making it. The first level is going to be 200k after taxes from my normal investment account. Not in my roth ira or 401k.

From there I can use that money to get to the next level more easily. 500k then 1mil.

But I would be comfortable as fuck with a 200k+ portfolio. I'd still work a programming job but I would be much more inclined to demand what I want from my employer rather than carefully ask for a raise with reasons.
