Your bet basically becomes 75x bigger pr whatever. But if the price goes the other way even a little bit (the smaller the leverage, the more it can go) then you are “liquidated” and the exchanges takes 100% of your bet.

You don't go into debt. Whatever you put in is the amount you lose.
People still avoid leverage regardless of it not putting you in debt because if you were in for the same amount of money but without leverage and the price goes down temporarily then you still have your holdings which go up in value again. While with leverage if the price goes down a little you lose all that you put in and don't get anything back even if the price goes up a few hours later.
