>In early December, StableTech launched wrapped Ethereum on the Tezos blockchain and this could have attracted greater participation from users as the recent sharp increase in gas fees on the Ethereum network complicates matters for traders and DeFi sector participants.
So this will take advantage of the eth gas problem

I bought a ton of XTZ last year and I'm still down. It's way ahead of Cardano in tech and development, but tech doesn't matter; advertising and hype does (as demonstrated by Cardano). The Tezos Foundation just doesn't care, and then they wonder why people want their ICO money back.

my point is; don't bother. The tech advantage over other blockchains is going to take years to pay dividends, if it ever does. The Wrapped Ethereum thing is not gonna be enough to make XTZ relevant again

I don't understand all that fuss about tezos foundation, cardano didn't do any marketing too, ceo wandered for an entire year taking selfies.

I mostly bought in May and June, back when it was #11. Since then, it's been incredibly frustrating to watch it sleep when LINK pumps, and dump just as hard as LINK when it does. Imagine my surprise when DOT immediately overtook it as the biggest staking network.

I still think that in the long run, Tezos has a chance of getting back in the spotlight, especially if the digital euro ends up being built on its network, but I'm just frustrated with how it did in 2020

you're right, it didn't pump because it missed the DeFi bubble

Foundation just announced through a reddit Q&A that they have closed contracts for major marketing to begin this quarter.
" We have agencies on board, new marketing hires made, and we are excited to begin to roll things out." and
" Marketing and outreach is not our core competency, but we're working with several partners who are going to be stepping this up in Q1."

So fucking comfy rn
