because whales are moving their linkies off exchanges because they're done accumulating and are preparing to put the link on nodes instead for steaking.
pic possibly unrelated, but rewards are mooning which is also something one would expect if steaking is getting closer to reality as more of the network goes live

Yeah I followed the transactions. Binance is sending Link tokens to the burning contract. It costs more to rent an ethereum wallet than the value of the Link tokens they hold ($0 as token is indeed not needed). I just sold everything and bought $XRP as it's actually free to have a wallet to save your internet money

daily transactions are mooning too, I think highest I've seen before is 37k but I haven't checked in a couple weeks, but 99k is definitely highest I've ever seen

This seems kind of optimistic no, like isn’t the other explanation that they realize the news is shit or the stake rewards are shit and they’re selling

Here's more data.
Ben has api access of this info I'm guessing, so he charts it and graphs it as a function of price and you can see as of Nov 20 2020 the highest daily transactions ever were around 30k, and if we continue the trend of price appreciation as a function of network activity then when daily transactions average around 100k link price will start moving towards around $50
And that 99k from my last pic is by far the highest I've seen so far
of course this is all speculation, just because a trend/relationship has held for the last 3 years doesn't mean it has to continue
but what if..
