I'd like to provide a slightly better argument for maximalist BTC by pointing out most of the alts anons invest in are very strongly correlated with BTC prices, and you get taxed on crypto to crypto trades. Between those two points your overall profits from diversifying into altcoins doesn't really have an edge on staying in BTC alone. I think people who do this are excited when it does seem to pay off but ignore when it doesn't and end up overestimating what they're really getting out of it, similar to how Uber drivers will end up spending more than they earn or making very little after expenses but still do it because it seems like easy money in the moment.

Alt fags, think alt season is guaranteed. I see no proof of that. I hold alts too, but more than half of my portfolio is in BTC. Last bullmarket alt season had already started by now. I think if we do see an alt season it wont be anything like 2017. Theres too many coins now for that. Coins will pump but there isn't going to be some huge 4000% moves and most shitcoins wont even move at all.
