It's very simple. Crypto is property. The law is designed to fuck you over as much as possible. Bite the bullet and pay someone to do. It won't be more than $5k. And ffs get a tax lawyer, never use a cpa because as a client you have the lowest priority. They will not protect or help you if you or even they fuck up. You want a lawyer type relationship because then it's about helping you instead of helping the, government steal from you. With a cpa you know where their loyalty lies. Why would you purposely visit such a person even if they paid you for it?
