I keep telling people this, it's not difficult to understand and you can do it yourself.

Check the market cap of Tether (and all stablecoins!) for the past year, and match that up with Bitcoin. Bitcoin CRABBED and DROPPED even when Tether continued to rise in vallue. This happened the entire summer.

What else happened during the summer? I'm guessing you weren't here. DeFi. DeFi exploded and is still exploding. This explains its run up which has remained perfectly constant even during Bitcoins bull run, because it's fueled by DeFi.

Also, the volume chart in your picture. That's VOLUME. As in flows. Most exchange volume is done via USDT. This just means that most of the trading is done between USDT and other coins. Arbitrage and trading. This accounts for most of any exchanges volume. It's not that Tether is being printed into thin air, it's that exchange volume is mostly USDT. Look at an order book yourself. It's constant trades and arbitrage happening. The minority of it is people buying Bitcoin and moving to cold storage.

FFS. Shouldn't have to spell this out for you and don't know why I did. You shoulda done more homework.

Grayscale doesn’t sell Bitcoin. People give them money or Bitcoin which they issue shares against. Those shares are not redeemable for Bitcoin. If somebody sells their shares on the market that means somebody else has bought them.

The 620K BTC in Grayscale are there forever unless they add in a redemption facility which they have said multiple times they WONT. The only way BTC comes out of Grayscale is for the 2% management fee they charge. This is monumentally bullish.

>> No.25626192

That literally doesn't make sense.

Even 401k sells eventually at retirement. Assets are there to be bought and sold. Yes -- even stores of value.

No it doesn’t. You don’t know what a redemption facility is. It takes six months for the shares to vest.

The more Bitcoin they suck into the trust, the more they make on that 2%. Selling Bitcoin is against their best interest. They get 2% of 620K Bitcoin per year right now. That is why they will not offer a redemption facility, they don’t wnat Bitcoin leaving the trust

I think Grayscale is literally a Crypto Reserve Bank and they offer shares to retail and insties, their shares arent pegged to their crypto reserves 1:1.
So yeah, they could sell BTC but I think they have this 80%BTC and the rest ETH and other shitcoins thing going, so they will probably only balance that out.
