Does robinhood allow you to sell at the ask and buy at the bid with limit orders? If not, does IB let you do it?
Suppose I set a buy limit order at $1
It will be executed when the bid goes under $1, correct?
Suppose I wanna sell those shares I just bought. Can you sell those shares with a limit sell order or will that just open an additional short position?
Also you can add a take profit to the buy order. Will the take profit be executed when the ask goes higher than the TP, or will it be executed when the bid goes over the TP?
Basically I'm asking if any broker allows you to make money from the bid ask spread by providing liquidity with limit orders as if you were trading directly at the exchange.

Cruise Ships are fucking garbage. You are stuck in a big floating hotel with tons of other people gorging on food. It's a boomer-focused industry too.

Think what you are actually fucking investing in for god's sake. How will cruise ships improve 5 years from now versus today? Okay, do the same comparison with some other sectors and companies. Do they have good CEOs? Do they have lots of brainpower influx? What tech are they leveraging?

If you play cruise ships the first plan you have ahead of buying is how to dump the garbage shit at a higher price and buy good companies.

Here is what you should do. Re-evaluate yourself and why you are investing from scratch. If you are playing some shitstock it is to pass it onto someone a little dumber than yourself SOONER rather than later.

The appeal of airlines is similar to banks which is stock buybacks. The industry is fairly mature with regular boom and bust cycles. Airlines need bankruptcies for consolidation phases and leave larger market share for the strong. Once cashflow is not horrendous they can then restart buybacks.
But that will probably take a while because first they need money to restart their lines.

Cruise lines are an utterly retarded investment made even worse by corona. They are purely a luxury item with every reason to go out of style right now. Airlines are at least marginally defensible but overall also a terrible investment, don't think this'll be the last geopolitical shitstorm that will obliterate sales growth and force them to take on heavy debt (if you need any more convincing just see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_airline_bankruptcies_in_the_United_States).).

Yes. I have been on cruises. They were both fully booked and the boomers on board seemed to be really enjoying themselves. I enjoyed it. As >>25583034 said it's a floating all inclusive hotel where the staff (usually SEAsians) provide unmatched customer service, they treat you like royalty, there is nothing comparable in Western countries except for luxury hotels that cost 10x what a typical cruise does.

You are thinking old school when it comes to battery tech. There has been great advancements in the battery field and sooner than later lithium will not be the main battery used.
Lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) have existed since the 1980s, Lithium Nickel Manganese Cobalt Oxide (NMC) Batteries: NMC batteries account for nearly 28 percent of global EV sales, and Fitch forecasts that the market share will grow to 63 percent by 2027. The NMC battery has a high cycle life suitable for both off-grid and very unstable grids, with commercial products featuring a 60 percent state of charge (SOC) greater than 6,000 cycles at 90 percent depth of discharge (DOD).

PLTR is a decent buy rn. It's going higher on more COVID contracts that are incoming and on military/geopolitical instability news, then dipping in february, then recovering on more inevitably positive news because these are just the times we live in. Palantir sells SAS that is specifically a product EVERY government is addicted to, and that the private sector is licking their chops to get a hold of. I know people on here will give me shit but I unironically think it'll be in the low three figures in a few years.

GME is more touch and go. They might rally and fix their shit and become profitable, but right now... I'm gonna continue to watch and wait before I buy. I'm more cautious than some people here but that means if it actually does moon, they'll make more money than me, and that's ok. The difference is I think that PLTR is going to be profitable a hell of a lot sooner... and their market cap is naturally bigger because of this. Sure GME might make you a lot of money, BUT... Most of the metals used in batteries is very common and we have hundreds years of reserves. Production of these metals are rapidly spinning up and their are lots of different battery chemistries that means you don't need to use something like cobalt unless it is economical enough. Batteries are almost entirely recyclable. There may be demand issues but electric cars will easily get the dominate market share.

The electricity will come from scaling up the grid, power companies have no trouble producing energy when it is economical. The whole industry is obviously demand limited and the shift to EVs won't happen overnight.
