I just learned that if you create a limit order on 1inch then you don't have to pay gas at all. The maker don't pay gas. The taker does for you.

We will probably see a boom in L2 tokens like INJ (when they release their exchange) where you can avoid gas fees in the Ethereum ecosystem. People will tend towards solutions where they can avoid that and ther are many projects with that in mind (like INJ even though it is pretty early)
