Mostly because i was WFH for 75% of the year but i also have been hoarding leave because i can get cashed out when i quit. I cannot bring myself to use leave for the same reason that i cannot spend a cent on anything but bitcoin and essentials. Im planning on exit scamming my boss by getting a promotion at the tail end just so my leave credits will be worth more when i cash them

Mate, give yourself a break. I office spaced today and just didn't go for no particular reason. Best feeling in the world.

Uh, this isn't "exit scamming" fren, this is a pretty standard practice in jobs where you can cash out vacation days.
I'm sitting on a month's worth of vacation. When my old man retired, he had something like three months accumulated.

Wait, is this a thing? Where do you live op, country? I used 5 days leave in 3 years. Am I due a payout upon quitting?

Only if you get days off that rollover. It would be in your paystub

Burger here. It depends on the job. I've had jobs that did it and jobs that didn't. Usually, higher paid jobs are more likely to let you cash out vacation days, likely because they'd rather you keep working.
If you can do it, it's a good idea to save up vacation hours for when you leave, because those vacation hours combined with your final paycheck means you can go months without having to dip into your emergency fund.

Put some of those gains into BOR and thank me later.

Lmao are you me? I do the same thing. But I can only get 15 days of pto before I cap out.

Me personally, I decided to hit 10 days of pto and now I'm kinda using it sparingly. If I get to walk out of my company with an extra full paycheck then I'd say it's worthwhile. Don't neglect your health though. I took some time off last week and it felt pretty good to just relax.
