There is no right answer for this. Mostly personal preference and security vs. convenience.
Hot storage (with Spark support) - XUMM or Exodus.
Cold storage - Ledger/Trezor or Paper/Metal Wallet
Do not use Droplet wallet, it is a scam.

Crypto is at the heart of, or connected to, a lot of political habbenings right now. Given the size and prominence of the US, anything that happens in the US is going to have effects that are felt in all the big markets and, socio-politically, throughout the world. That outsized influence is part of the reason that influencers want to make the world economy tied to supranational organizations and not to one particular national currency.

It's a decision that has pro's and con's for the US, my home country, and I'm not sure how I feel about it. That doesn't mean that I'm not preparing for it, though, even if I do so imperfectly.

I would have assumed you’re literate, given that you’re posting here.
Read the statement for yourself. It’s nothing.
Basically, if at the end of this suit/any settlement, XRP is a security, we’re pretty much done. If not, we’re very much on plan.
I was wondering what contractual basis they’re relying on and have to say this is surprising. And decent lawyer should be aware that until the suit is resolved, the clause can’t have been triggered (assuming it’s worded as described in ripples release).
I can only assume they think the SEC will win on the security point and they’re trying to get their cash out before ripple goes to shit (if they have it in their contract, other investors likely do too, so there’ll be a run on ripple if XRP is a security)

Bottom line though - we’re in the same position - clarity (not a security) or death.

There’s a small chance that the SEC wins on all counts (and particularly on XRP being a security - the rest is just noise), and for some time we’re dead.
But the SEC can’t make laws. They’re using the lack of actual laws around crypto to interpret the space using laws designed for other purposes. So if at a later date, laws are put in place that define XRP as NOT a security, then the SEC would have to follow, regardless of the outcome of the suit.
So you’re right: the SEC winning wouldn’t necessarily mean death for all time. It could potentially come back. I’d not be very confident of that position though - it’s certainly a long shot and would likely take a long time to resolve itself (suits would be required to get the SEC to change its stance, you’d have suits by ripple trying to reverse suits that came about due to the initial security ruling, etc. It’d be a mess.
(I’d also note that if they win, ripple likely folds and then there’s no argument that XRP remains a security, but again - there’s be suits aplenty before you got clarity on what happens next)

My own view is ripple settle on some of the lesser charges. Maybe even accept XRP was a security pre-2015. But that the main point of “is it a security today” will go ripples way.

In response to the conversation between mansur and the internet of value anon, I dont think that the trinary that IOVanon proposed will be the eventual case; in my view we head towards a good outcome of human singularity which actuates in a more natural manner the eventuality of a distinct upper and lower class, or we gun towards artificial superintelligence, at which point we have a unit upper class god and millions of unit lower class peasants.

Personally, I think that we, as people who are to come out relatively "on top" in this game of crypto, need to focus our efforts in establishing the confident this will be possible given the nature of blockchain networks and information availability, eventually giving rise to platforms acting as a sort of "metaspiritual facebook" and facilitating a return to tradition and to the land, also moving us further away from the enveloping consumerism and rancid globalistic, multicultural attitudes that we see today. I see this also as an opportunity for the rise of national socialism again as the natural means of keeping a nation in order.

Lets beat the banks, beat the odds, and most of all move ourselves into the golden age that awaits.

If XRP is a security, then Ripple is the central bank of this new security, and the hypothetical new security coin, Ripple is a central bank for, should reflect the immense price inherent to such an asset that has so many great things about it.

If its deemed a security, good for us because XRP is just that good in the legal security asset sense.

If it stays a currency then good for us too as it can stay as the most regulation legitimate wild west crypto asset, because it's just that good.

Restauranteering is a rough business. It's not for the inexperienced or faint of heart. There's a reason that the wealthy open up restaurants: they're great tax write offs for how often they lose money.

The safest move, if you really don't know what you're doing, is to hire people that do know what they're doing. Tell them what your goals are, what's important to you, and then work with them. There's a reason there's an entire professional class built around preserving and building wealth: it's not easy.

>inb4 muh jew
>inb4 paying someone
Literal nigger-tier logic. Billionaires have entire staffs that handle their affairs. Even ones that are proper visionaries in their field have wealth and tax teams. You are not them. Don't be a retard. If you invest 20k in a team but they end up saving you 200k, then you're 180k in the green.

ife we follow that chart from the past,

we'll see first 10x to prices about 2-3.5$
then we retrace a bit maybe 25 to 50% for a month or so

then it pump another 10x'ish to 20$ and another 25-50% retrace

and final pump and peak bull run will be 100-170$ from december 2021 to january 2022 before bear markets begin and we'll could see potential bottom somewhere between 1-10$ in the following years before next cycle begins

this is just harsh speculation and i just compared 2017 charts...

No. That’s not really a thing. That’s like saying Exxon is the central bank of Exxon corporate bonds.

If it’s a security, it’s bad. Because it prevents banks from freely trading it unless they are also registered as broker dealers. Many banks have separate banking and broker dealer entities because being a broker dealer brings you under the remit of the SEC and has certain reporting obligations attached.

I don’t think it’ll come out as a security. But let’s not pretend it’s not a problem if it does.

The thing is, all of these self defence systems work. Krav Maga is completely adequate, but the issue in these systems is lack of sparring and talent. In the past, people used to rassle and fight all the time, and were there many small skirmishes, and they slaughtered animals or hunted them, so you didn't need to teach 'killer instict', only technique through drills. Most now lack that, so that's why sparring is more necessary, just to teach the mindset. You see many traditional ma types freeze up in a fight nowadays. If they sparred they'd have no trouble.

Further, most people of any ability go into a sport with more competition or more money, so the likes of Krav Maga and traditional martial arts are full of fatties and nerds whilst boxing has Mike Tyson etc. If Tyson took up Monkey Crane Seahorse Kung Fu he'd batter everyone using that instead, and you'd all be singing its praises.

This is the same reason why Japanese Jiu Jitsu has lost out to Brazillian Jiu Jitsu. Those monkey shitskins didn't invent a better system than the Nips, just one more conductive to popular consumption and sport.

Are they beneficial in a life or death situation like war where you have to disarm a person or die, sure are they recommended if someone pulls a gun on you on the street for your wallet, no cause you’ll likely die. It’s a poser form designed for marshmallows and unlearning they technique would be difficult if someone wanted to pivot to something more efficient. Example I sparred with a guy with some belt from krav, he’d been doing it for years and seemed confident but the dude reacted to every feint and kept trying to essentially catch my punches With his hands, rather then moving his head and keeping his hands by his chin kek. Toyed with the dude, Mcdojos are all fake and you realise that when you walk into an mma or hard Muay Thai gym And have a hard sparring session with someone who’s trained

>using rules of old to try to fit in the new into your FUD.

XRP is a currency. Only way its not is if its somehow different than BTC, this difference is directly correlated to the fact that XRP is the best currency ever made, and is fiat, a commodity, a currency and a security all in one because its just that based.

If its deemed a security then it is unlike anything else ever. Thus this first mover advantage will moon XRP.

If it's not a security, then Ripple will still subsume the entire global economy into XRP Ledger, like the last outcome. No matter what.

The only thing thats still up in the air IMO is if Ripple will keep their position of control over this new first mover of a new asset class, XRP.

Or if its importance will deem it necessary for the IMF/BIS to control it somehow.

It'll be a bit of both in the end. XRP moons soon, it is inevitable, it is the best coin for all intents and purposes, in every sense, other than normie awareness. Bitcoin takes that prize.

But as we all know now, the herd is always wrong. The normies, don't know anything. Following crypto, btc specifically used to be based. You used to be automatically a non normie if you knew about crypto. Now you can say you know about crypto as long as you have a few sats in coinbase, BTC has undoubtedly normified the "wild west crypto space."

So if BTC is now normie tier.... and XRP is being desperately sued by the SEC.... and the political war election thing is coming to an end in 2 weeks...... and everyone is becoming redpilled during quarantine.....

Well, I could say more, but, in short its only a matter of time before XRP moons.

yeah very true, the majority of dojo’s I’ve seen are designed for progression ($$) people keep coming back as they continue to advance in belts, even if it’s somewhat without merit, so you can see some black belts thatre so out of shape they couldn’t Even go a round and some that would cave to aggression as soon as they get hit a few times and panic, or soon as someone’s on their back flattening them out . If you can keep calm that’s half of fighting, the other half is skill, fitness technique etc

Right on. One thing that stuffed me up with boxing is the punch technique - all fine with gloves on, but without the gloves I ended up with 3 "boxer fractures" until I learnt the Krav technique for striking.

Bad idea without gloves. You want to extend your arms before yourself slightly to divert their punches, using your forearms against theirs.

>lack of punches to head as well.
Those fellas train in punching bricks and all, if only they hit a chin once in a while! Look at pic related, all the same stuff. And both original documents specifically say 'arm break'; it's not two on one control.

I got pretty good at boxing but never competed because where I live you have to register your hands. MMA was a lot of fun but there are too many fuckheads. Bjj was my favorite because it’s he most technical and destructive.
BJJ and MMA are very popular where I live in Norway, more so than boxing, kickboxing, and much more so than judo, karate etc. Although I would prefer judo, I might choose BJJ as it seems to have more dedicated young guys like myself serious about the art, while judo here seems more spread in age and gender, and not really many people "serious" about the art itself.

Gotta love fellow schizos talking about martial arts.

Anon, train Muay Thai and BJJ for maximum fighting effectiveness. Judo also helps but if they grab onto you and you end up on the floor you better have some skills to use there. Judo only covers a bit of ground game, with BJJ you can toy with them on the floor and then strangle them. With Muay Thai you fuck their face up with elbows and knees on the feet.

Bjj is good to have you not panic if you’re on the ground and in a bad position, especially as a beginner you always will be but train hands also as imo they’re most important especially for a street fight you don’t wanna be on the ground long but either way they’ll help you a gym is a good masculine environment I prefer ones without women

I've not broken anything but I've nearly buckled my wrist hitting with the modern boxing technique.

What I like to do is hold my palms slightly face up in stance, then rotate to a vertical fist. That way you get some of the power of rotation but retain the stability of the vertical fist. Yet sometimes locomotive power is enough. I also nearly invert it on some strikes. Haven't used it in a good while, all that said.

Not quite as extended as pic related, but you get the idea.

Aggression only gets perfected during sparring, you see some guys come in and they’re giggling and shit, or they’re too ultra aggressive which has its downside also . Some guys are naturals and they’re usually the ones who are in the middle, can be aggressive but are mostly calm and chill .
