yes anon, staking rewards are taxable, but the capital gains on the principle is not taxable until you sell.

if you sell half, you pay capital gains taxes out the ass on the value accrual just to convert it into cash (~$250,000 lost to goy taxes). on the other hand, if you never sell the principle then you never take a tax hit on the principal. Just depends on what you want to do. The dumbest thing would be to sell the principal just to reinvest in some boomer fund that delivers 5% annual, because you lose a ton of money that way. but if you want a lambo or a house paid for in cash then sell I suppose.
