Is the contract binding? NKLA had a fuckload of preorders for their truck and everyone coomed hard until they learned the orders were not binding at all.

Hyundai also already has delivered fully electric trucks (FCEV though, not BEV) to customers in Switzerland back in July. Only 10 though, so not very impressive and they may well run into difficulties in ramping up to large scale production but they seem to have won the race for first fully electric trailer truck to hit the roads in a commercial environment. I imagine they and Toyota/other legacy manufacturers, along with Tesla, are just waiting for market conditions to beat down the share price of WKHS and then one of them will swoop in for the acquisition. That's the exit strategy I would be playing, EV market won't remain this fractured for very long

That's a more promising sign then. Definitely have the impression that WKHS is not just a complete meme like NKLA. Looking at the press release it seems they're aiming for production in fulfillment of the order to start around July of this year, which might be a tad ambitious but I think even if they get production started by December they'll probably be in good shape as it looks like they have until 2026 to deliver. That's only like 1500 trucks a year but my guess is that with the EU teetering closer and closer to complete bans on gasoline trucks/automobiles, along with the marginal economics benefits WKHS should see from scaling up, they'll probably be getting more orders and more production capacity in that time.

I'm a bit cautious of the use of inventory financing, but the stock is definitely too low for them to have been able to issue an equity offering to raise the capital. I'm surprised there aren't banks lining up at their door to offer revolvers or other credit given the EV hype, but knowing Wall St it's probably just their short sighted nature to be sycophantic to TSLA while shunning anything involved in EV trailer trucks after their NKLA recommendations blew up in their face. Going to do a deep dive into WKHS, makes no sense to me that NKLA is being given a valuation 3x higher. Stock will definitely pump today on the news but I think there's more to them than just that.

I think WKHS will never put fut in the EU for logistical reasons. Rather we will see local manufacturer popping up like mushrooms, especially with the help of some juicy EU funds.

However I suggest you take a look into RIDE instead of WKHS. They already have working prototypes that were out for review by the public (see amateur videos on youtube), the management team looks excellent, and the CEO is an all around great guy who knows his customers. They already have funding to start pumping out commercial pickup trucks in Q4, and have something like 80K (non binding) preorders.

WKHS on the other hand has something like 10s of thousands of orders, an abismal manufacturing capacity, and the stock prices is pumped up by the USPS contract hopes, which is very shaky. Oh, and the CEO is an insufferable MBA faggot. They have a 10% stake in RIDE tho.

And these are real american companies as opposed to the chink EV mania on this board.

(I'm long on WKHS currently, but plan on shifting to RIDE instead).
