In addition to the purely black market use, the grey market use of the coin is also there. What if you need to pay people privately for some reason (prostitution as an example)? What about buying goods and services (what BTC was originally meant to do) that may not be expressly illegal but can get you into trouble if the government or even non-governmental authorities like your employers don't like it (see political deplatforming and buying goods that aren't regulated like certain radios)?
