I did manage to hook up with my ex from high school, but I couldn't get it up because she was kinda chunky and it was too soon after the break up for me to get excited about, and I was drunk. Pretty much everything and I'm moreorless maxing out on crypto right now, this year I will fucking make it.

>How do you parents treat you and how does it go with women?

My parents are loving, supportive and probably slightly embarrassed and alarmed at me being an incel.

What they don't realise is that my sex drive got fucking smashed at the age of 19 by anhedonia likely stemming from a dopamine disorder and I'm gonna need to get on Wellbutrin XL to restore my dopamine function before I can get a gf, fortunately I move out, get on the drug and finally start a love life this year, so there's still some time to rescue this retarded life I live.

I'll be 27 in four months. It's nothing to be ashamed of. Moving out when you turn 18 was a recent phenomena that swept the US during the post-WW2 economic boom. When the average American enjoyed wealth and cheap prices the likes of which the world has never seen. Now that paradigm is dying, and you're seeing a slow return the norm. The child inherits the parents' home. If you're male, you can practically start a family whenever you damn well please. You don't have a biological clock like women. So if you're worried about not being able to attract a woman because you still live at home, don't worry about it. Just use the time to improve yourself, become a handyman, and make sure your parents leave their house to you and don't fall for the reverse mortgage meme

Make more than that trading (not crypto for the most part). Most of my work time is spent on my PhD for which I do not receive an income. My parents are very loving and easy to live with. They give me space when I need it and company when I don't. Not going after women at the moment but if I wanted to I could bring someone home without too much awkwardness. I'm 27, make 99k (hate my job and career), live with parents, they treat me extraordinarily well, but I'm not my own person. I pretty much am like a man-child as you two have described better than I could.
Financially speaking, I could afford to move out and be on my own. But a couple things: I'm able to save almost all of my income as I dont pay for rent (I've offered but my parents wont accept), housing is terribly expensive where I live, i cannot stand my career and almost see my current situation as a simple way to save as much as possible before potentially moving out of state or somewhere more affordable, and I dont know what my mom would do if I were to leave as she has a terrible up/down relationship with my dad.

look into Disulfiram, it gives you a temporary allergy to alcohol so you literally can't drink on it or you will have a severe reaction. it will get you over the hardest part for the first month or two until you break the addiction and learn to form new habits.

Not gona make it the post. When you move out with your 25k what then? Are you gona pay rent to a landlord, or are you going to put all that down on a house and be stuck paying for it for the next 30 years making 21 an hour? It still blows my mind that anyone would cash out of crypto to put their wealth back into a system that will inevitably make them a debt slave.

>it's hard to want to leave when you know you're the linchpin holding your family unit together.
You took the words out of my mouth. Crazy, man. It's like you want to leave and become your own man, but knowing what that would mean for your mom (and the breaking up of the family) makes you totally reconsider and you end up just floating on as you've done for the past few years.
Yep, as far as the salary, it's the only reason I'm still doing it. I dont know how else I could make what I'm making now. But I'd honestly take a pay cut to do something else. But it would have to be something sustainable and with a decent trajectory. Which is what I have now...but I just dont belong in this industry
I definitely never considered moving out of state before, but I recently had a couple weeks off of work for the holidays and my stress levels plummeted so hard that i want to find a better way to live than what I'm doing now. High cost of living area and stressful job are no bueno. The salary is misleading as the quality of life isnt good.

Lived with parents for 2 years, managed to stack 10k in PMs,15k in crpytos, and 30k in savings. Just got into crypto so I’m assuming that 15k will pump. Moving out is unironicalyl a Jew meme. I had my own place from 23-26 and wish I would’ve saved all that money, I would’ve been set. Now I’m planning to live here for another 2 years when I’ll be set.

OP. Sometimes we take steps backwards in life. I've been working in the service industry since I was 17. I'm 29 now. I've been moved out since I was 18. Don't feel bad. But if there's a girl you like, I'd focus on getting an apartment before bringing her home to your mothers house. It's like - not a good look at all.

Hey anon don't feel bad.

I'm 30 and moved back in with parents this year. I co founded a photography agency and had 8 photographers on my payroll - we covered events so i only worked Friday-Sunday each week, shit was so cash (literally, 80% of earnings were in cash).

Corona-chan ended my business, but I was reading /cvg/ threads weeks beforehand and already had arranged everything so I could cut all expenses straight away. First day of lockdown I was back in my parents' house across the country.

Then I decided to learn to code, and believe it or not I got the best advice to learn full stack development from browsing /g/. After 2 and half months I started my first job as a junior full stack developer and had two salary raises since then.

Now I have a load of savings from government support (coronabux for my self employed status as a photographer), I pay £200 a month to my parents a month for board and food, and now I'm learning the ins and outs of trading from browsing /biz/ and already turning profits on my investments.

I guess what I want to say most is that unironically, 4chan has turned my life around this year.

Keep the faith fren x

Asking any of you older bros in your late 20s/30s, what would you do in my position. I'm thinking of invested 600 per month, half into metals like gold for real long term and the other half for crypto/stocks.
