It's unironically true. $100k to $1MM is by far the hardest 10x.
Once you reach (about) $1MM it's almost impossible not to get wealthier over time. The passive income is enough to cover your living expenses (assuming you're not a consoomer) even if you invest in safe asset. At $1MM+ you have enough money to diversify into rentals, it's a lot easier to get a mortgage (= extremely cheap leverage), you can invest in small private businesses etc.

t. $1.2MM

Bought at first in low 5 figures 3 years ago, and I no joke fluctuate $50-$100k a day nowadays and feel nothing inside. The only thing I’m anxious about is going to 7 figures since that’s always been a life long goal for me to achieve before I’m 30, and I’m pretty close to that at 26, but I feel weirdly calm at the same time. Like I’m planning to sell end of next year / possibly beginning of 2022, but fuck I think once I touch 7 figures I really won’t care anymore about rises / falls. first, when you are at the MM level, most portfolio managers will obfuscate the 7k swings, just because of the numeral formatting.
second, seeing something go from 1.21 to 1.16 doesn't seem as bad as 121000 to 116000.
third, even losing 50k in a day, when you still have enough to live for 20 years, doesn't feel that bad. losing 20k off a 800k stack feels like you will have to wageslave another year. 50k off a 1.2m stack, just feels like you won't be to lease another audi.

If you don’t and lose it all, you can just try again next paycheck. It’s no big deal. If you have more than 100k though you’re not going to gamble it all on one or two shitcoins. You’re a self contradictory retard. Is gambling 1k-5k on shitcoins and hoping for 10 of them to pull a 10x or more smooth sailing for you? You’re gonna be waiting forever for that to happen, if it even does, meanwhile you can just gamble on one alt and go from 1k-10k in a couple months or less. But sure, 1k to 10k is “brutal as fuck” where as 100k to 1 million is “smooth sailing”. Unironically retarded

you're looking at it too abstractely and failing to consider money doesn't exist in a vacuum
i.e, if you mess up with $10k you can get it back wageslaving for a couple months. for that matter, the typical wagecuck in crypto DCAs every month. that DCA matters when his portfolio is sub $50k, but it means shit once his folio is at $500k (unless he's a silicon valley faggot)
you also have to think about volume, liquidity. i.e. trades you can make netting you $1k may not scale 10x. this is especially true in shitcoin gambling, where you can basically bet on dogshit and have one of the craps float to the top. but if you keep doing that, you don't scale $100k to $1M, you scale $100k to $200k (at best)
now you might be tempted to argue, why 6 figures hell specifically. shouldn't the same apply to 7 figures? the answer is, many opportunities open up at 7 figures. you can buy real estate outright and not have to gamble your entire networth for that purpose; or you CAN bet your entire folio on multi-units with great ROI. say you have $5M, you can stuff $4M in index funds and keep the remaining million to gamble on moonshots, not the full million at a time but with small $5k - $10k tickets. and we're not necessarily talking crypto bullshit, in the real economy too. can't really make the same gambles when your entire worth is $500k, unless you've got nerves of steel
it all adds up. 6 figures hell is particularly devastating because it's the first taste of real money most middle class people get. easy to screw up

You're focused too much on the timeline and ignoring the fact that in 6 figure leagues you can literally make an entire year salary in one week, or one day even
THAT is why 6 figures is based. It's just winning with no stress, no McDonald's, no putting 100% of your pocket money on a random pajeetcoin and constantly checking blockfolio for the next weeks.
6 figures is when you can cash out a life changing amount of money yet leave more play money in your portfolio than what you initially started out with.
