They promised a million things in 2017 that all didn't come true. Founders were assholes and had intensely drama. IOTA is still centralizes (however coordinator free testnet is up and running now)

Mostly people got burned by crypto winter and got salty though. The project is in great shape by now

Biggest update ever "Chrysalis" will come in Q1. If this works sentiment will change big time. Only FUD left will be coordizide which will be resolved in Q3 according to roadmap

Thing is, if IOTA tech gets fully implemented they beat everything including ETH and Cardano. Might get in now, but some people here go nuts when you talk to them.

IOTA has biggest ecosystem and partners in academia, industry (Bosch, Jaguar Landrover, Zebra Technologies etc), and even governments (German IOTAqua project).

People were burned by slow progress in the past, but IOTA foundation grew to 120+ employees and huge updates are around the corner. Idiots stay in the past and stop researching. They regained my trust and I own a comfy stack

Chrysalis and Coordizide update this year will bring first gains. But in best case (killer app or killer policy, i.e. cerain data MUST be stored on permissionless DLT, aka IOTA) IOTA will reach Btc marketcap
-> 100-200€ / MIOTA

If successful but slower growth IOTA can reach 10€ / MIOTA mid-term
