That said, there’s nothing wrong with doing your research and finding that underpriced, diamond in the rough stock that we’re all sleeping on. Personally, I will never own solar panels. No point, especially where I live.

Example.

A Tesla Roof (solar panel roof) costs me 60k. To recoup that investment on where I live (midwest), it would take 30 years to pay that 60k off due to the lack of sunlight in my area.

Solar is great if you live in California or the southwest US. Anywhere else is not worth it based on cost.

I study different markets for a couple hours a day, work on valuation models for a little bit, and execute a couple options trades every day. All told, about 2-3 hours a day.
