If they win/lose or settle the lawsuit, then an exchange of money will take place - given the size of EOS settlement, it is not gonna bankrupt Ripple, whatever the outcome may be.
Once that happen, trading on coinbase etc. will resume.

..and here is where this insane probability math come into play = the price will more or less go back to what it was prior to the lawsuit, there is nothing fundamentally changed about XRP because of this lawsuit.

Did you? Are you a lawyer? Dunning-kruger much? If you actually followed Ripple's actions for more than a few months you would already know all the things the SEC mentioned. Nothing that the SEC presented will be enough to convince the judge that XRP is a security. The only people affected negatively by the SEC are misinformed people that don't bother looking deep into the case. This is the only reason these companies have tried to distance themselves from Ripple. Exchanges don't have to delist it but they do anyway. And all of that during the same week? Nothing has been confirmed yet. You are talking about one of the best lawyers in the world, any side viewed in isolation by the average person will look convincing. Don't act like their case is certain. If it was obvious there would be no need for a lawsuit and things would have been settled YEARS AGO but no they had to wait until the end of 2020. Also, implying that all the miners in China are on the same sheet of music. They aren't. They are competing, even in China.

Additionally, past experience shows us that the Chinese miners couldn't even force the Bitcoin community to adopt big blocks or even the Segwit2X fork. I don't disagree with you there but to suggest that the influence of the Chinese gov in a major way would have a long term impact on Bitcoin is really, really dumb. There is a tremendous amount of hash power just sitting in plenty of other countries just fucking chomping at the bit to get a slice of the Chinese miner share. As soon as the Chinese were to fork the chain or bow out entirely due to a crackdown, the reward difficulty would scream downward thus incentivizing the rest of the world to pick up the slack.

But it's all academic anyway, bro. Because there is literally more hash power invested in the chain now to overcome any nation state's attempts to crack the blockchain. So the question becomes how much EXTRA hash power do we actually need to adequately secure the blockchain from any possible attempts to fork it. Fortunately, market forces and the price help to solve this problem by making the miners ALWAYS compete to provide more security than is actually necessary to overcome an adversary.

It's fucking beautiful dude.

Why would you use BTC to send money when you can use XRP to do that in 3 seconds and a fee less than a cent
>HURR RIPPLE CONTROLS IT
No they don't XRP outperforms btc in every measure it actually has utility from Ripple's products.
You know BTC's value comes from fiat currencies? If it's not being actively used and has low volume it's even worse than fiat in terms of store of value.
You out yourself as either a newfag or an idiot for thinking XRP is centralized. Once they say the Nashville bomber used btc or something to aquire materials they will make btc illegal as child pron. You are not overthrowing any banks, delusional anarchist. Every other shitcoin performs objectively worse, go buy PAMP or something

The only reason China hasn't started mass producing mining devices is because of the disinterest of the CCP as another anon said. They can make the cheapest devices and faster than other countries, their dominance won't go down if everyone adopts bitcoin.

No it doesn you retard. How about you actually research bitcoin. China hosts the mining pools, they dont own all the people adding to it that pool. Americans and Euros use their pools as well. China doesnt control their computers.

It doesn't matter if their dominance doesn't go down. It only matters if the rest of the world has sufficient mining infrastructure (they do) to pick up the slack in the event of a catastrophic even in China that bans all miners, etc. If this happened, it would just shift things around. It wouldn't be smooth sailing through this, but it would not be a long term problem.

They do, they're being sued. You can't sue bitcoin
>Nashville bombing, child pron
Already tried, the gov has been doing this already for so long that they gave up on this line of FUD. Try again
>either a newfag or an idiot for thinking XRP is centralized
The SEC is contending that the instrument is a security. Do you know what that means? It is declaration of the very essence of a corporate security you utter.fucking.retard.

Ok, I just can't anymore. You XRP guys are just beyond delusional. Like, into a whole new dimension of stupidity that no coherent arguing can even be worthwhile with you. Enjoy your bags. Hopefully you aren't ruined financially.

Ive given up on them too. They all believe in some grand conspiracy that is meant to transform XRP into the global currency. They are a schizo as Qanons are and you cant talk to them. Just let them enjoy their financial ruin.

Not based in the sense of being against being against the monetary establishment, if anything, this will probably be used to egg it along, along with chainlink, but I wasn't aware of all the tricks bitcoin holders play against other projects to ensure they stay on top.

Personally, I don't see the issue with China mining most of the bitcoin and processing transactions, whoever holds monetary power is unlikely to be a "friendly" entity, in that they will do anything to maintain that power or to increase it (the US with the military industrial complex, as the the present day example).

There can only be ways to encourage people to veer away from centralization.
