Infrastructure is ruff, I understand cloud infrastructure, K8S, etc, but I dont really get to apply it past spinning up vms and setting up connections to VPNs.

Security is a whole different topic altogether - I mean I know how to prevent SQL injections, do a buffer overflow on linux, basic cryptography, private-public key handshakes, etc, but we know it's the tip of the iceberg.

I also dont really use C++ or other langs with direct memory management.

Concrete advice? You have to work outside office hours to get ahead. Get involved with crypto projects. The field is so fresh that no one is truly an expert.

You should at a minimum feel comfortable working with Typescript, Go, and Rust.
