500k in btc. Still feel poor as fuck.

Takehome pay is 5k a month
Not in US
I spend 20 usd on clothes every 2 years.
Phone is 70 usd no plan. Use free wifi
Gym and medical is 110
Only other cost is rent
Dont want house, bc of tax and freedom.

Grew up fucking poor so used to sober life. Dont know what to do with 500k. Also doesnt feel like lifechanging.

Yeah i figured. Then instead of putting it in diversified etfs for a measly 20k a year Ill stay allin in BTC. Millions or bust.

I’m in the same boat OP. Kind of depressed about the mid 6 figure life desu. It’s enough to make you feel safeish but not enough to really retire.

Maybe start a business or something to spice things up? Maybe start a rental portfolio? No idea. I’ll probably quit my job soon and try and start my own business after I relax and travel. After meme coof tho.

With your (seemingly) minimalist life, you could live on 20k a year, but waiting to sell so you can be doing 40k-60k a year would be much better.

There's a high chance that the 500k in BTC you have could become 1mil+ within the next 3 years so i would keep it comfy in there if i was you.

You can started a business for far, far, far less than 10-25k, and a couple dedicated friends who wont back out on you/dont have many other 'big time' options coming their way. Did it myself. It took 2-3 years, but now got big name investors from my industry tied to my project. Hoping it goes well.

Cool. Thats legit sounds rewarding and interesting. Care to share a bit more. Tried a couple of things myself that all went south. Best one was raking in 5k a week(!) after a year of coding. Lost it all in legal battle though

Holy shit that sucks. Was the legal battle a copyright/trademark issue or anything, or contractual/lack thereof?

It's still 'starting out', we got investment, decent starting capital for the first major project we've ever done (lower 6 figures). It got very close to failing when a buddy involved in the project had his family get involved and thought I was stealing from him (pre-signing contract). Glad it didn't go badly, but it took a long time, and a lot of careful management for the whole thing not to collapse. Now everything is signed on paper.

Indie game.

He's not wrong IF you can pay off the entirety of the house. Depending on where you buy, and the amount you put down, it can be lower than your rent.

Ok clueless...
Read between the lines.
Buying a house where OP lives is not cheaper than rent.
Living as a single male w/ no family and children in a single bedroom w/i an apartment complex while dating & investing any potential house downpayment into equities & crypto vs. principal, interest, taxes, insurance, maintenance, expensive housing projects, and furnishing the god damn place.
Yeah, no fucking thanks, normie.
Stay poor.

so then in 2015, i bought a bunch around 300 usd. but not to save, i already tought i was in the top. so when it hit 15k, in less than 2 years i was with 1 MIllion fkn dollars in my hand, so i feel so sad, and even more angry at myself, i cash out and THROW everything on drugs and whores. i HATE MYSELF so much.
