How do we feel about Algorand? I don't really see anyone discuss it and it just seems stable at .34~ no matter what happens.

It gets shilled here daily. It's a decent play for 2021, but won't be anywhere near the gains that you can have on ETH, for example. Algo will probably start really blossoming sometime in '22, '23.

Somehow I miss those shill threads. It's probably just because it seems so bland I mentally block it out.

tokenomics is just as bad as GRT and RSR

Its a decent bag to hold, but I'm switching to Polkadot for gains.

I don't believe, that shitty ETH will outperform this gem.

Lol

Yeah so when Etherium dies under the load of it's own weight algo could be a platform that replaces it. I wouldnt expect to get rich off of it though due to the supply. Definitely a good project to watch though with its experimental use with companies like Visa.

This coin has so great fundamentals and technology. Cardano is the only "threat" but they target very different parts of the market.

It's arguably the best smart contract blockchain ever created. It's no promises, it's real.
I tried it, programming in 4 very mainstream prog. languages is amazing, the asset (token) creation/management is top notch.

But there is lot of shadow from Ethereum, the slightly too inflationary supply.

So I expect huge fucking pumps, no gradual increase. I expect ALGO to see x2, x3, x10 in a few days, then very violent crashes.

Bro, the 20$ fees for any transaction is a big NO NO for the actual real world, for the industry.

The lack of scalability isn't just a "meh it's okay, we can wait 3 years before those nerds roll out Phase 2", IT'S CRITICAL.

Ethereum WILL lose market shares, at least for the next few years, then maybe will destroy ADA/ALGO, but not before ETH 2.0 is complete, battle-tested and documented.

1000 tx/s and predictible fees (0.001 algo per tx) is GREAT for startups and the industry overall. 10k tps is even better, but 1000 tx/s working right now is fucking great.

Answers to all of this are in the works.

It is. Documentation is there, dev portal is slick and clean. I tried it, great experience.
Nothing like the 2003-feeling that developing on Ethereum gives.

This shit is just too professional for the crypto world, but that realization will come, it's inevitable.

>> No.25325993

Algo is good to just stake and hold for a few years on money youre willing to write off. Buy a fat stack when it goes under .30c. Come back to all the juicy compound interest 2-3 years later

Who the fuck care if it's in the works?
Have you ever done business in your life? Have you launched a start up? Have you ever seen how shit happens in the web/IT industry?

We don't care if it's in the works, Ethereum is doing great and will remain on the top, for sure. Not denying that, also holds a large part.

But Algorand get SHIT done, professionally. It works now, it's not some random behind it, the network is proven, never forks. It's made for the industry.

Honestly, go to their reddit, they have top tier discussion.

What? There is nothing going on reddit, the main discussions are not there.
Or was that ironic?

I own both algo and ftm. I think both will do well in the next year idk what will do better in terms of x though. Ftm really needs more adoption to go ballistic

Here the tl;dr truth in algo. It is a great program. It won't make you any money because the tokenomics suck. I fear graph is the same. It will need hundreds of trillions of dollars in it to make you money.
